POSITION: Continuing Education Program Coordinator-HHS/CCE Division
STARTING SALARY: Salary
may be commensurate with qualifications. (Class UB04/Band 00).Position # 020386
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: A bachelor-s degree in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of
responsible, training-related experience or an associate-s degree and a minimum
of five (5) years of responsible, training-related experience. The
equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience
in healthcare and continuing education strongly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge
of instructional methodologies. Experience
in developing and teaching educational programs. Excellent communications, organizational and
teamwork skills. Human relations skills to develop positive
relationships with students, faculty/staff, business and industry. Ability to work independently and coordinate a
variety of simultaneous activities. Ability to work varied, flexible hours. Possess entrepreneurial initiative and practice
critical thinking. Ability to manage multiple budgets and
resources.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Provides quality instruction and/or supports instructors; maintains
discipline necessary to ensure student performance; provides timely feedback
to students on progress made in courses; maintains effective learning
environment. Provide appropriate guidance to students.
Prepares courses according to client objectives and/or occupational
requirements. Tailors effective,
state-of-the-art instructional courses to meet the particular industry-s
needs. Selects textbooks and assembles resource materials.
Coordinates, supervises, and promotes high quality seminars, workshops, and
teleconferences, (non-credit and sometimes credit) for individuals,
professional associations or other industrial clients.
Assists in managing the resources and budgets for assigned CE Health and
Human Services programs, including, but not limited to Allied Health.
Performs other duties as assigned. May be assigned to conduct, coordinate,
and/or plan varied programming within the Division and/or College.
Establishes a professional development plan and participates in activities
for self-improvement in keeping with the Division and College mission.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
