Summary:
North Central Family Medical Center is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing affordable, accessible healthcare and pharmacy services to patients of all ages with locations in Rock Hill and Chester.
Under the direction of the COO, Guest Services team members are responsible for day-to-day visitor and patient interaction and assistance, providing an atmosphere of security and safety that maintains the integrity and reputation of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
Welcomes patients and guests in a professional and friendly manner For guests, determines nature of business at facilities and controls access to facilities Provides an atmosphere of security and safety Patrols building and grounds Monitors all activity in and outside of building Monitors entrances; ensures premises are locked and secured; monitors alarm and security systems Interacts with visitors/patients providing customer service and assistance, as needed Responds rapidly to security emergencies; de-escalates high-stress or problematic situations Calls and interacts with law enforcement when needed; observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to management Provides assistance when requested by medical or nursing staff Helps patients into and out of their cars; escorts patients as needed Provides administrative support, such as taking and delivering messages and mail; accepts packages Assists with special projects as necessary Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient safe operation of the organization Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) A minimum of one year related experience and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
People oriented, empathetic and patient Displays pleasant and friendly demeanor Dependable in all aspects of employment Ability to stay calm during stressful situations Excellent communication skills including active listening Ability to follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies Ability to work independently and in a team Company Conformance Statement In the performance of their respective job assignments all employees are expected to conform to the following:
