Position OverviewThe CDL Bus Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up blood mobiles at various blood drives.
Essential FunctionsBloodmobile deliveries and pick-upsMust be able to work a variable PRN schedule for bloodmobile deliveries and pick-ups from our Bracken Road location to various blood drivesUnderstands and supports the quality goals of the companyAdheres to all safety policies and proceduresCourier duties as assignedDeliveries of extra supplies to drives that need additional itemsOther duties as assigned or requiredMinimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GEDValid Driver's License and valid CDL Driver's License with no major infractions and dependable transportationOne year job related experience is preferredDemonstrates a working knowledge of the buses used by The Blood ConnectionExcellent customer services skillsAbility to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to follow SOP in a heavily FDA regulated environmentAbility to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors and co-workersAbility to work with all levels and in a diverse work environmentAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peersPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this jobReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsLifting and/or pulling/pushing up to 50 poundsSitting for an extended periodBending and twistingEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/DisabledOther details Pay Type HourlyHiring Rate $23.
