Summary:
Under the direction of the Compliance Manager the Compliance Administrative Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to the Compliance and Risk Management Department.
This position will be a part of a team that fosters an environment where the Compliance Department is recognized as an integral part of the organization's daily operations through ensuring that it functions in a legal and ethical manner while meeting its business goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Meet the organization's customer services standards, including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations Perform administrative functions including scanning, copying, faxing, filing, and data entry Assist in maintaining compliance software programs, including uploading and organizing documents in the document management system Maintain multiple spreadsheets and logs, mandated by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Compliance Plan, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Hi-Tech Rule, Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Compliance Manual, and other federal, state, and local law requirements Compose and distributes educational materials, interdepartmental correspondence, etc.
, as needed Exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion when receiving, preparing, handling and storing sensitive information Track departmental policies and procedures, keeps manuals updated, and assist with preparing revisions Type, proofread, correct, and file correspondence and documents as needed, including legal documentation Coordinate meetings by requesting meeting rooms, preparing agendas, and attending all meetings Takes, transcribe, prepare, copy, and distribute meeting minutes as required Provide assistance to visitors, vendors, and facility personnel who come into the office for assistance Assist with formatting of presentations, spreadsheets, and word documents Assist with special projects and interdepartmental needs when appropriate Assist in coordination of all medical records requests from the courts, attorneys, and other institutions Maintain a tracking sheet of records requests as appropriate Assist in preparing for and responding to routine, scheduled, and/or unannounced federal, state reviews/audits/filed claims Assist in maintenance and distribution of relevant educational materials and regulatory compliance updates Other duties as assigned

Education/
Experience:
Associate's Degree in business administration OR a minimum of two (2) years of related experience (healthcare industry preferred) 2-3 years clerical or office experience Knowledge of compliance a plus Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
Excellent internal and external customer service Proficiency with basic office equipment (calculator, computer, copier, fax) Intermediate computer skills with an emphasis on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and desktop publishing Knowledge of medical records including electronic medical records Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent oral and written communications Familiarity with compliance, risk management, and HIPAA security a plus Ability to interact effectively and maintain professional relationships with staff and patients Job Type:
