The purpose of this position within the organization is to program events for the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department.
This position will also work a schedule requiring evening and weekend shifts.
Given general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in business, liberal arts, or any field other than engineering or the hard sciences.
Two to four years of work experience is desired.
The equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
A valid Driver's License is required.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of modern office practices and technology; knowledge of proper English usage, vocabulary, spelling, and basic mathematics.
Knowledge of financial processes including asset management and loss prevention.
Ability to work nights and weekends.
Ability to communicate information clearly and accurately.
Ability to efficiently utilize office computer tools including Microsoft Office and specialized departmental software.
Ability to assist with custodial duties and minor maintenance needs.
Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.
Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations or tight deadlines.
Ability to maintain positive customer-focused relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agencies, the general public, and all other internal and external customers.
Personally demonstrates appropriate customer service skills.
Work is performed onsite.
The incumbent must be present at work to perform the essential functions of this job.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensures professional and efficient internal and external customer service via communication with City Management, elected officials, department heads, co-workers, commissions, community partners, customers, and the general public.
Assists with representing the City when communicating with vendors, City staff, customers, and citizens.
Assists with preparing, processing, and tracking invoices, credit, state sales tax, contract instructor pays, refunds, purchase orders, and miscellaneous billing.
Assists with various records of the department including but not limited to financials, cost-to-serve, grants, PRT Master Plan, and the City's Strategic Plan, and prepares department-level reports and comparative analyses for the management team.
Assists with various aspects of major events.
Coordinates and manages programs and support services for citizens and visitors of Rock Hill.
Coordinates and assist with other programs, clinics, community outreach opportunities, and special events at Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism facilities.
Provides assistance and support to concessions, admissions, weekend call schedules, and special events.
Coordinates and assists in hosting regional, national, and international events.
Responsible for opening and closing of facilities.
Compiles daily, weekly, monthly, and annual membership, usage, and financial reports.
Provides staff support to various committees, commissions, and other groups as assigned.
Participates in cross-training opportunities.
Performs all other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
