$122K - $155K a year 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Responsible for performing the dual role of maintaining the relationship between assigned business areas and the Information Technology department and managing resources supporting business initiatives and technology projects.
Works to clearly define system solutions that meet the defined business requirements and ensures that business process changes and system solutions are put in place in a timely manner.
Utilize project management tools to estimate and plan projects to provide cost and temporal information to executive management while delivering quality solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES Provide guidance and direction for all work efforts supporting assigned business areas by learning core processes and identifying technical solutions that will support business area processes.
Act as the IT ambassador for assigned business areas ensuring alignment and prioritization of IT projects and maintenance through regular formal communication methods.
Manage multiple projects of medium to large complexity, programs that require multiple teams and subject-projects, and on-going operational tasks including minor enhancement, maintenance and support.
Provide accurate temporal and cost estimates for all projects, enhancement and maintenance activities required by IT and business customers.
Manages temporal scope and cost of multiple projects in a single program when needed.
Create and maintains accurate work plans to support resource allocation, establishment of timelines, and progress tracking; aligning with task management approaches defined by CIO staff.
Ensure all required project life cycle processes are followed, including documentation and approvals, before executing business deliverables.
Apply project life cycle processes to multi-project programs when needed.
Participate in the management of the IT project portfolio by adding proposed projects, moving projects through project life cycle with current, accurate information and regularly updating status Maintain a high level of understanding of current project management and project life-cycle processes and policies to be followed by your team; assure that these processes are followed.
Apply these processes appropriately to larger scale programs when needed.
Establish and regularly communicate short- and long term professional development plans for staff and address any personnel performance issues in a timely and organized manner.
Recruit qualified personnel based on skills needed to fulfill the technical requirements of a position and ensure alignment with Comporium's corporate requirements and vision.
Manage all personnel according to company policies set forth by Human Resources.
Enforce and ensure equal employment opportunity and advancement for all personnel involving hiring and promotions.
Provide testing requirements and establish appropriate timing for testing with Ops and Testing Manager to assure thorough testing.
Take action on formal results of tests.
REQUIREMENTS 10 to 15 years of combined experience managing medium to complex projects for Workday and/or PeopleSoft platforms Candidate must have effective project management skills.
Proven experience meeting project milestones for technical deliverables Experience should include project responsibility, involving at least 6000 hours of permanent or contract resources Ability to mentor and coach staff on technical assignment and set expectations on level of performance Job Type:
