Responsibilities for this position include administering benefits, setting up company policies, onboarding new employees, maintaining updated employee records, and organizing training.
To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of labor legislation and HR processes.
Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures always run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Administer benefit plans Administer time off policies and requests Assist in the payroll process Provide support to employees in all HR-related topics and resolve any issues that may arise Organize and maintain all personnel records Regularly verify personnel records such as addresses, W4s, beneficiaries, phone numbers, emails, and dependent information.
Conduct employee onboarding and offboarding while satisfying all legal and regulatory requirements Update all relevant systems after changes in employment status Continuously educate employees about benefits and opportunities available to them Develop and implement human resource policies Work to improve employee recruitment and retention Maintain organizational charts, company policies, and detailed job descriptions Manage employee performance reviews Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, such as filtering applicants, contacting references, and conducting initial interviews Stay up to date with changes in labor legislation, insurance, OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
Organize and hold regular safety training for both existing employees and new hires Create safety policies and procedures Manage driver records Monitor GPS and dashcam system for driver compliance Administer and coordinate company insurance policies Liaise with insurance and benefit providers to ensure legal compliance Provide support to office staff as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements Proven work experience in HR Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures Good knowledge of employment/labor laws Outstanding knowledge of MS Office Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems Excellent communication and people skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Ability to communicate effectively Ability to hand a wide range of tasks A Bachelor's degree in Business administration or relevant field Benefits Competitive wages Free health insurance Dental, life, and vision insurance available 401k Paid time off Quick Apply.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
